Where Summer 2026 Took Me
Summer 2026 was filled with beautiful places, meaningful celebrations, and so many miles traveled with my cameras in hand. A Toler Photo traveled throughout the United States and Italy to photograph weddings, elopements, and other unforgettable moments, and I’m still processing how special it all was.
Where Did This Year’s Travels Begin?
The travel technically started in April with a trip to Savannah, Georgia, but I’m counting it as part of the summer recap anyway! Savannah was the perfect start to a season filled with historic cities, moss-covered oak trees, and plenty of film.
What Were the Summer Travel Highlights?
June brought me to Crested Butte, Colorado, followed by an unforgettable trip through Italy. I traveled from Milan to Lake Garda and then into the Dolomites, documenting meaningful moments against some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever experienced.
The summer also included time in Branson and Columbia, Missouri, before ending with a trip to Bodega Bay, California, just north of San Francisco. Photographing an intimate elopement along the misty Northern California coast was the perfect way to wrap up the season.
What Made This Summer So Special?
Every destination offered something completely different, but each trip reminded me how grateful I am that photography allows me to travel and document people in places that are meaningful to them. From city streets and mountain landscapes to lakes and rainy coastlines, this season held a little bit of everything.
Savannah, Crested Butte, Milan, Lake Garda, the Dolomites, Branson, Columbia, and Bodega Bay, thank you for a summer I’ll never forget.
Planning a Destination Wedding or Elopement?
If you’re dreaming of getting married somewhere meaningful, whether across the country or around the world, A Toler Photo would love to document it through digital and film photography.
